CHAPTER 25

SE and JR get ready for work. On the ride in JR asks SE to take it easy her first day back.

SE: “I will. I’m actually just going to catch up on patient files. Thankfully I didn’t have that many patients to begin with, so I haven’t missed too much. The doctor that took over their care sent the files over last week, so I’ll just be reading most of the day.” They get out of the car, and ride up in the elevator.

SE gets off on her floor and JR goes up to his. On the way up he thinks. Shit, I forgot to tell her about the changes to her office. She is going to be mad as hell. I should go back down there. No, maybe her coming up to me will give her time to cool off.

SE notices two guards stationed at each end of the hallway. (SE’s office is the only one on this floor, like Ewing Oil). She walks through her outer doors and there is a metal detector just inside the doors. She just looks over everything. There is a sign above another guard that requires all bags to be checked. He says good morning to her. She walks through another metal detector, getting angrier by the second. She see Carly and Carly walks with her to her office. A workman is in there and explains to SE all the features of the new security system. “Dr. Ewing there is a panic button under your desk, all you have to do is push it, it’s silent so no one will hear it inside this office. There is also a safe room located behind the book case, with an escape hatch. If you have any questions give me a call” He hands her a card and leaves.

SE looks at Carly. “I’ll be right back.”

SE marches up to JR’s office. JR is on the phone. SE walks straight past the girls and into JR’s office. His chair is turned towards the window so he doesn’t see SE. SE slams the door with a force that vibrates through the entire office.

JR knows she is there now. Oh shit. “Say Kyle, let me call you back.” He hangs up the phone and turns around.

JR: grinning the irresistible JR grin, “Hello darlin’. Did you forget somethin’”

SE: “Did you? Like the fact that you hired security for my office without any input from me, let alone telling me you were going to do it. It isn’t a psychiatrist’s office, it feels more like a prison.”

JR: “Now SE…”

SE: yelling “Who the hell do you think you are? What gives you the right?”

JR: raising his voice also “That wedding ring on your finger gives me the right, honey. I will do anything in my power to keep you safe.”

SE: “No matter what I want.”

JR: “I don’t care what anybody thinks. There is no way on earth anyone will be getting into your office with a weapon again. After next week, they won’t get into this building with a weapon. I will do whatever I have to do to ensure your safety and the safety of children.”

Bobby opens the door.
Both SE & JR yell: “What?”

Bobby: “If you’re gonna fight you might want to keep it down unless of course you want the whole office to hear you.”

SE: “Oh were finished.” She starts to walk out and JR goes to grab her arm. She pulls out of his grasp and walks out.

JR: yelling “SE…SE. God damn it.”

Bobby: “Nice. I told you she was gonna pissed.” He starts to close the door.

JR: “Shut the hell up Bobby.”

JR walks over to his desk. And swipes everything in the floor. “Fuck!”

SE goes to her office and slams her door. She sits down picks up her cell phone and starts to call JR, then throws it across the room. “Sonofabitch”

JR sits and sulks for a few minutes and then gets up to get a drink. He downs the bourbon and throws the glass across the room.

JR walks through the office and gets on the elevator. SE gets up and and walks to the elevator.

The door opens and SE sees JR standing there. She walks in and as the door closes JR hits the stop button. They both come together in an embrace that hell would think was hot.

SE pushes his jacket off of him and takes of his tie. JR rips SE’s jacket off of her and a few buttons go flying. They look deep into each others eyes and kiss again. SE starts to unbutton JR’s shirt. JR pulls her camisole over her head.

SE unbuttons JR’s pants as JR unzips her skirt. He pushes SE up against the mirror in the elevator and assaults her neck with hard kisses.

He lifts her up and rips her underwear away. She wraps her legs around his waist. They continue to kiss each other passionately. She rips his shirt and buttons fly. He grabs her ass cheeks to hold her up. She lifts his t-shirt over his head.

He sets her down and falls to his knees and throws his arms around her waist and kisses her stomach then lays his head against it.

SE: “Yes”, as she goes to get her underwear. “Damn, another pair? Maybe I should buy back Valentine Lingerie, then I wouldn’t have to pay for the ones you ruin.”

JR: smiling “Don’t wear any.”

SE: “Funny.” She gives him the underwear. He puts them in his pocket. She puts her jacket on and realizes some the buttons are on the floor. “JR, damn.” JR looks at her and laughs.

JR: trying to button his shirt, but only finding two buttons. “Damn woman, what am I supposed to do?”

SE: laughing, “Wear your t-shirt. It will be a new look.”

SE finishes getting dressed and kisses him goodbye. She hits the button and the doors open. “See you for lunch.”

JR: “Ok. Love you”

SE: “Love you too”

JR is a mess. He is carrying his shirt in his hand and his tie is hanging around his neck. He has his t-shirt on and his jacket. He walks through the office and Bobby is talking to Phyllis.
Bobby meets JR’s eyes and JR looks at him and shrugs his shoulders “We made up”

Bobby doubles over in laughter and JR goes into his office and goes to work.

CHAPTER 26

It is close to noon when Carly tells SE, she has a visitor. SE walks out to the reception area and SE sees a man about her age. He gets up and offers his hand. She takes it, “I’m Sue Ellen Ewing.”

Man: “Yes I know, I’m your brother. TJ” SE abruptly takes her hand away. “Come in”

SE walks back into her office and TJ follows her.

SE sits behind her desk and turns around towards the window. TJ sits down in front of her desk. “I’m sorry for surprising you, I didn’t think you would want to see me.”

SE: “It’s not that I don’t want to. I just needed sometime to process all of this.”

TJ: “I understand. I just found out about you when Dad told me he was coming to Dallas. I guess we’re both in the same boat.”

SE: whipping around “Really? I think you’re mistaken TJ because you grew up with a father, I didn’t.”

TJ: “Look I know you’re angry. I’m not here for him. I’m here for me. I’d like to get to know my sister.”

Just then JR walks through the door. “Say honey, you ready for …. What the hell are you doing here?”

TJ stands up and extends his hand, “You must be JR Ewing, I’m SE’s brother, TJ Shepard.”

JR stands there and looks around TJ at SE who has turned her chair back towards the window. JR walks around TJ without shaking his hand and squats down next to SE’s chair. “Are you alright?”

SE: smiles at him “I’m ok. I just wasn’t expecting him.” She whispers to him, “I’m actually finding myself liking him.”

JR: smiling “Is it ok if I don’t?”

SE kisses him lightly and stands up. “TJ look, I don’t really know what to say to you. The last few months have been a little hectic for me and I haven’t had time to process everything. Why don’t you and Ty come out to the ranch Friday for dinner, around 6:00?”

TJ: “That would be great. I’m sorry I surprised you this morning. I hope I didn’t upset you. I’ll see you Friday.”

He leaves and SE looks at JR, “Will you be able to behave when they come over?”

JR: smiling “As long as they don’t do anything to hurt you, I’ll behave. Now come on sugar, I’m starving, especially after this morning.”

SE: “Me too. Let’s go.” JR takes SE’s hand and they go to eat.

They sit down and enjoy their lunch, and talk about Friday.

JR: “Are you sure you’re ready for this meeting?”

SE: “JR I can’t avoid him forever.”

JR: “You sure as hell can honey. I can see to that.”

SE: “JR I need to do this, if for nothing else than peace of mind. Besides as long as I have you and Jo Ro, I can face anything.” Smiling.
JR: “Ok.” They finish eating and then go back to work.

CHAPTER 27 FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT SOUTH FORK

JR and SE decide to take a walk before dinner. They walk into the stables and go up into the hayloft to sit and talk. JR isleaning against a pile of hay and SE is lying in his arms. He is rubbing her stomach lightly.

These times are troubled and these times are good

JR starts kissing the back of her neck lightly. And SE moans. JR’s hands start caressing her all over and he lays her back onto the blanket.

JR slowly unbuttons her shirt and she unbuttons his. JR removes SE’s shorts and SE removes jR’s pants.

JR enters SE. “I love you SE, so much.”

SE: “love you….you feel so good”, he starts to thrust a little faster as his lips make their way down from her neck to her nipple, which he latches onto hungrily.

JR: “SE there is nothing I won’t do for you. I love you. I’ll protect what we have until I take my last breath.” He continues to move within her, bringing them both to the edge.

SE and JR fall over the edge and cry out with pleasure.

JR: “I love you too honey. Now let’s go get ready to meet your daddy.”

SE and JR get up and go back to the main house and get ready for dinner. 

CHAPTER 28 (Okay I’m changing it a little. SE was only 5 when Ty left and TJ was born after he moved to California.)

Bobby & Pam go out to dinner, but Ms Ellie & Clayton stay with JR, SE, and John Ross.

Ty and TJ arrive around 5:45. They all sit down to dinner. Dinner is rather quiet, alot of small talk, mostly between MS Ellie, Clayton & Ty.
Ms Ellie & Clayton have plans for a show in town and leave after dinner. The rest go into the family room for a long overdue talk.

JR: “Well now maybe you can tell SE why you’re here trying to weasel your way into her life?”

TJ: “You know JR, maybe we should let them talk?”

JR: “You know TJ maybe you can shut up?

TJ: “You know I don’t know what my sister sees in you. All I see is a loud mouth Texas oil man who thinks he can buy and sell people when he feels like it. You think I didn’t research you? How many times have you hurt SE?”

JR: getting out of his seat, “Wait a damn minute.”

SE gets up. “Stop it both of you. JR, sit down and be quiet. Stop antagonizing him.” TJ starts to smile. “And you wipe the smirk off your face. If you can’t respect my husband in his own home, that you are not welcome.” TJ sits back down.

Jo Ro: “Mom maybe you should take Ty outside and talk alone. I’ll stay in here and keep Dad company.”

SE: “That’s a good idea John Ross. Ty why don’t we take a walk?”

SE and Ty walk outside and JR sits there a little pissed off.

SE and Ty walk around South Fork.

SE: quietly asks “Why did you leave?”

Ty: “You’re mother left me. I came home and you and she were gone. When I first met her, I thought she was the most amazing person on earth. We got married and had you. I was so happy. I loved you more than my life. Then I fell on hard times. Lost my job and started drinking cause I couldn’t provide for my family. She tried to help, but I wouldn’t let her. It went downhill from there. I stopped coming home, she didn’t know if I was dead or alive. She couldn’t take it anymore, so she did the only thing she felt she could. I tried to get to you, but she wouldn’t let me see you. Drinking just got worse. I had no money, no steady job. So I moved around a lot. I met TJ’s mother while I was in California and we got married and had TJ. She died from cancer when TJ was 16."

SE: “I’m sorry. That must have been terrible for you both. I know what it’s like to lose someone you care about.” thinking of Nick.

Ty: “It was bad, especially for TJ. I didn’t handle it well, went on a binge for a week. TJ found me in the gutter in front of the local bar. He took me home and nursed me back to health, helped me dry out. Been sober ever since.”

SE: “Why didn’t you come back then?”

Ty: “Thought you were better off without me. I called Patricia, and she said I was dead to you. That I should leave you alone. You were married and happy.”

SE: “So, why now?”

Ty: “I don’t know SE. I’m getting older and I want my daughter in my life. That’s the only reason. I understand I don’t have a right to be your father, but I love you, and I hope that maybe one day, I can be your father.. At the very least, you and TJ will have each other when something happens to me.”

SE: “I can’t make any promises to you, I don’t know how I feel.”

Ty: “I understand. Just know that I do love you. And it would be an honor if you would let me back into your life, as your father.”

SE: “I’ll think about it.”

Both are quiet for a few minutes.

Ty: “Getting’ late. Your husband’s probably worried about you.”

SE: “Yes, I’m surprised he hasn’t sent a search party out for me.”

They walk back to the house as a figure lurks in the trees watching them. 

CHAPTER 28B

Walking into the room SE see John Ross and TJ talking. “Where is you father, John Ross?”

Jo Ro: “He was went up to your room mom. He said he was tired.”

SE: “Well, it is getting late. Jo Ro will show you both out. Thank you both for coming.” Ty takes SE’s hand in his and kisses it.

Ty: “Thank you SE for giving me a chance. You’ll never know how much I appreciate it.”

SE: hugging him lightly, “I’ll be in touch.”

TJ: hugs SE like a brother would. “I’m very happy to have a sister. Maybe we could have lunch in a few days?

SE: smiling “I’ll call you and we can set up a date and time.”

SE hugs Jo Ro and goes upstairs. JR is staring out at South Fork sitting on a chair on the balcony.

SE walks out to the balcony. “Hi.”

JR: “Hi”, without moving

SE: “Ok, what is it?”

JR: “SE how can you bring those two into our home so easily, into your life?”

SE: “JR, he is my father. TJ is my brother. What would you like me to do?”

JR: “No we are you family. You don’t need them.”

SE: “JR, for God’s sake. What has gotten into you? You’re acting like your 5. Now what is really bothering you?”

JR: “I don’t want to share you. I know it’s selfish. I’m sorry. I’m used to it being you and me, and our family. That’s they way I like it.”

SE sits on JR’s lap, and he wraps an arm around her waist as the other one rests on the stomach. “Baby, nothing is gonna change between us. Even if I do decide to have them be apart of my life, you are my husband. You and our children will always come first. I know this isn’t easy for you either, but I can’t do this without you. Please.”

JR: “SE I’m sorry, you’re right. I’m just jealous. You spent all that time with your father tonight and I was feeling neglected. I will stand behind you. I’ll be there for you with whatever you need. Some days it seems like everyone is against us being happy. There is always something for us to deal with and I’m tired. We’ve been through so much. It’s our turn. We deserve to be happy.”

SE: “We are happy, and we will always be happy. The world can through whatever it’s got, we will survive every storm together.”

They hug each other and SE places a lingering kiss on his lips. All of the sudden JR pulls back. His eyes are wide with wonder. “The baby kicked. Did you feel it? Oh my god that was amazing.”

SE just smiles at him “She actually kicked at dinner a little.”

JR: “Why didn’t you say anything?”

SE: “Because I didn’t want to share it with everyone around. I wanted you to be the first person to feel besides me.”

JR: holding her close, “I love you SE. Thank you for all that you give me. You’ll never know how happy you make me everyday.”

SE kisses him on his lips igniting the passion between us. “Make love to me. I need you.”

JR picks her and carries her to the bed. They remove each other’s clothing and lay down.

JR: “I love touching you. Your skin is so silky and smooth.” He licks her all over, causing her to moan a little louder, especially when he spreads her legs and licks his favorite spot.

SE: “Oh god JR, you feel so good.”

JR continue to pleasure SE with his tongue until he can feel she is close. He slides into her gently. Sending her over the edge. “Do you know how good it feels to be inside you when you cum? I can feel every second of your pleasure. It feels so good.” He starts to make love to her gently.

JR and SE gasp at the same time as his strokes throw both of them into passionate oblivion.

He hovers over her for a moment and rolls over. She lays her head on his chest as his arms go around her.

JR “I love you SE. So much.”

SE: as she drifts off, “I love you too.” About an hour later JR wakes and gets a glass of water. He lays down next to SE and kisses her belly. She wakes up but JR doesn’t know it. He talks to the baby. “Hey princess. Your momma and I can’t wait until you’re born. We are all happy about you. Your big brother is gonna love you. I do feel kinda bad for you Jaden, because between me and your brother you won’t be allowed to date until your 50. I hope you look just like your momma, because she is the most beautiful thing God ever made. We felt you kick earlier today. I think you’re gonna have her legs to. She sure can kick, especially when she’s mad. Your daddy loves you Jaden and he’ll never let anything happen to you or your momma. Goodnight princess.”

JR gets back into bed and wraps SE back up in his arms. “I love you my beautiful sweet wife.”

SE smiles and thanks God for their family.

CHAPTER 29

Saturday morning. SE wakes up with a yellow rose on her pillow, and a note that says “I went into the office for a little while, but I’ll be back by lunchtime. Maybe we can go on a picnic lunch. Love, JR”

She gets up and puts running shorts on and a t-shirt.

She goes downstairs and tells the family she is going for a walk, since she can’t go jogging right now.

Jo Ro: “Mom, hold on I’ll go with you. I want to talk to you about something anyway.”

They start walking. “So, what did you want to talk to me about, or did you just want to baby sit me?”

Jo Ro: laughing, “No I did want to ask your opinion, but I also didn’t want you out here alone. The ranch hands spotted a car a few miles up the road last night with binoculars in the back seat. Couldn’t find anyone around it, but I called Dad, we’re having a new security system put in and guards will be at each entrance to the ranch. We’re getting an electric fence put around the perimeter of the ranch that is too far out for anyone to patrol everyday and camera and motion detectors, and a whole bunch of other stuff.”

SE: “I see. So spill your guts, kid.”

Jo Ro: “I’m thinking of getting Savanna a pre-engagement ring and I wanted your opinion. I know I’m only 16, close to 17, but I love her Mom and I’m pretty sure I want to spend the rest of my life with her. She reminds me so much of you. Strong, independent, fiery…She’s just incredible Mom. SO what do you think? If it’s ok I want your help in picking it out too.”

SE: smiling “ Oh Jo Ro, I’m so happy for you. Your father and I love Savanna. I don’t think you’re too young, especially the life you’ve had you had to grow up fast. I’d be happy to help you. When do you want to do it?”

Jo Ro: “Right now. Dad won’t be back until later so I was hoping if you didn’t have any plans we could run into town pick it out. I want to give it to her tonight, it’s our 1 year anniversary”

SE: hugs her son. “Let’s go. I have to shower and change then I’ll meet you by your car.”

Jo Ro: “Ok Mom. You’re the best.”

SE and Jo Ro go into town and into the jewelry store. They run into Mandy Winger coming out of the store. “Well, well, well, did JR leave you all alone already SE?”

Jo Ro: “You little bi…”

SE: sharply, “John Ross. Mandy, JR is working and I’m going shopping with our son. I really am sorry you’re hurting, but I love JR and he loves me. You don’t have any rights to him. You never did. Let’s go John Ross.” SE walks ahead of him and he stops Mandy once SE is out of earshot.

Jo Ro: “Lucky for you my mother’s so nice. My father and I are not. He walks into the store and catches up with his mother.

Mandy eyes him and simply turns around to leave. A fleeting glimpse of hatred comes across her features. She goes to Ewing oil to see JR. JR is looking at his and SE’s wedding photo when Mandy walks in.

JR: “What the hell are you doin’ here?”

M: acting strange, “I came to see you. How are you? You still look so handsome. I’ve missed you and I know you’ve missed me.”

JR: “Are you on something?”

M: “JR everyone in Hollywood is on something. It helps take the edge off the day.” She wipes her nose.

JR: feeling very sorry for her “Jesus Mandy, what the hell happened to you honey? Why did you do this to yourself?”

M: “I can quit. If you love me and help me I can quit.”

JR: “There’s just one problem with that Mandy, I don’t love you. I never did. I love SE.” He gets his hat and starts to walk out the door. “Let me give you some advice. Go back to Hollywood. There isn’t anything for you here. I hope you get yourself together Mandy, I really do. But you have to stay away from me and SE, cause if you hurt her, I’ll kill ya.”

She slides to her knees and cries as he leaves the building.

SE and Jo Ro take about 2 hours to pick out a ring for Savanna. It is a small tasteful pink diamond about ½ a carat surrounded by white baguettes.

JR comes home and is sitting out on the porch waiting for SE. Thinking about the day he’s had.

The car pulls up and Jo Ro goes to open the door for his mother. JR grabs her and plants a kiss in her lips. “Geesh Dad, can’t you wait till she gets out of the car? We were only gone for 2 hours. I swear you act like a drug fiend.” All three crack up, but JR goes back to kissing SE. “Get a room. I’m gonna go get ready for my date.”

JR: “Come on lady, our picnic lunch is ready.” They drive down to the lake and JR spread the blanket out.

JR and SE rest on the blanket and eat lunch. He takes her in his arms and rubs her belly.

JR & SE wake up late to a rainy Sunday morning. “uuhh. It’s rainy. How about we stay in bed all day and watch movies or something?”

JR: smiling as he leans in to kiss her “Or something” He tucks her under him and pushes his tongue into her mouth.

CHAPTER 30 – Monday Morning

SE & JR go to work. Jo Ro decides to go in
with them instead of taking his car. They get out of the car and start to walk to the main doors. Mandy comes out of the crowd with out being seen. It is obvious she is high and drunk.

SE tells them to wait a minute, she forgot her briefcase. Jo Ro says he’ll get it. As he goes to the trunk, Mandy pushes him from behind and he is hit by an oncoming car. SE & JR rush to his side. A guard calls the police and the ambulance, while Mandy gets away. JR looks up to find her but can’t worry about it now. SE is cradling John Ross in her arms “Oh God John Ross, please hold on honey. The paramedics are on the way."

Jo Ro: coughing up blood “I love you Mom. I’m a Ewing, I’m gonna be fine”, trying to comfort her. JR is scared but stays strong for both of them. “You’re gonna be fine son. It’s just a little scratch.”

The ambulance takes John Ross away with SE in the ambulance and JR riding behind them. He calls the family on the way to the hospital.

They get to the hospital and JR finds SE in the hallway leaning against the wall. “Honey…” he gathers her in his arms.

SE holds on to him “Oh God JR, I can’t lose him, I won’t make it.”

JR: “I know SE, I know….he’s gonna be fine. He has to be.”

The family arrives and settle in at the long wait while Jo Ro is in surgery. JR sends someone to get Savanna. When she gets there she flies to SE and the cling to each other.
Meanwhile in Mandy’s apartment, she is laying on the couch smiling. Too bad it wasn’t SE, but Jo Ro will do. All of the sudden the same shadowy figure that has been lurking comes out of her closet.

Mandy, still high “Who are you?”

Figure: pulling out a syringe, “Mandy….this will make you feel so good.” He injects the syringe into her arm. “You hurt Jo Ro today….that is unacceptable…You can’t be allowed to hurt SE or John Ross….for that you must pay with your life.”

Figure leaves as Mandy’s heart stops due to the overdose of heroin injected into her.

The family continues to wait for news on John Ross. SE and JR sit and hold each other and Savanna.

JR sees her when she comes out and he falls to his knees in front of her, clinging to her, crying. SE falls to the floor cradling JR in her arms. “You always try to be strong for everyone else. It’s ok JR, I’ll be strong for you. Let it go, I’m right here. JR continued to cry and SE cried with him.

They eventually get up and go back to the family. It has now been 3 hours and John Ross is still in surgery. The police come and talk to JR & SE. JR tells them it was Mandy Winger that pushed John Ross. The police say they know. They went to pick her up a little while ago and the found her dead of an apparent heroin overdose.

JR: “That makes sense. The last time I saw her she was high on something. I didn’t know what.”

The police wish them good luck and tell them they don’t have to worry about Mandy Winger any more.

The doctor comes out and says John Ross needs a blood transfusion. “I’ll go. Take care of SE for me Bob.”

While JR is gone Ty and TJ come in with bags of food. “SE, we heard about John Ross, is he ok?”

SE: “We don’t know TJ. What's all this?”

Ty: “We thought you all could use something to eat.”

Ms Ellie: “That was very thoughtful of you both.”

SE: “Why don’t you sit down. You’re his family too.” TJ and Ty are grateful beyond words.

TJ sits next to SE. “How is JR holding up?”

SE: “He’s holding up. He’s giving blood for John Ross.”

It’s now been about 5 hours since the accident.

JR comes back in and sees Ty and TJ sitting next to SE. TJ gets up and gives JR’s chair back to him. “Thanks.”

TJ: “It’s ok.” JR sits down next to SE and puts his arm around her.

She looks at him and tells him she loves him. “I love you too SE. You’ll see everything is gonna be fine.”


TJ: “We bought food for everyone.”

JR makes SE eat even though she doesn’t want to. “Hey, we have another child to take care of, so eat something.” She does.

JR thanks TJ and Ty for bringing food.

The doctor comes out and tells the family John Ross made it through surgery. “He had a ruptured spleen and a collapsed lung. They removed the spleen. He should recover beautifully, barring any complications.”

SE: “Can we see him?”

Doc: “Only two at a time. Are you his parents?”

SE: “Yes.”

Doc “Ok follow me.” They go into the room and John Ross is sedated and has tubes sticking out everywhere.

SE: sitting by his bedside, picking up his hand and holding it. “Hi baby. Momma and Daddy are here. The doctor says you’re going to be fine. You’ll be up playing football in no time. Savanna is here. Boy she really loves you. Almost as much as we do.”

Jo Ro: groggily “Hey Momma. I told you I was gonna be alright. I love you.”

SE: crying “Oh my sweet boy, I love you too.”

JR: smiling “Hey boy. It’s good to see those eyes of yours open. I love you son.”

Jo Ro: “Love you too Dad. Mom, can you bring Savanna in?”

JR: “I’ll get her.”

Jo Ro: “Mom, you have to be careful. If I hadn’t have went to get your briefcase, she would have hurt you.”

SE: “Jo Ro, it’s ok. Mandy is dead. She overdosed after pushing you.”

Jo Ro: “Good. I hope she suffered. If she was alive I’d kill her myself.”

Savanna comes in and rushes to Jo Ro’s side. “Oh God Jo Ro, I love you so much.”

Jo Ro: “I love you too Van. I’m ok. Dad, you need to take Mom home and get some rest.”

SE: “I am not….”

JR: “Yes you are.”

Jo Ro: “Mom I’ll be fine. Van will stay with me.”

SE: “Ok as long as Savanna stays, we’ll go home.” She kisses Jo Ro on his forehead. She whispers, “I love you, my sweet baby boy, so very much.”

Jo Ro: whispering, “I love you too momma."

JR kisses Jo Ro’s forehead “I love you son.” “I love you too Dad. Take care of mom and Jaden for me.” “I will son.”

SE hugs Savanna longer than a quick hug. “Thank you for loving my son Savanna. I know he’s in good hands with you. I love you.”

S: “I love you too, “Mom”. I’ll take care of him.”

JR hugs Savanna and they tell the rest of the family to come back tomorrow. JR and SE walk out holding hands and walk to the car. They get in and just sit there for a second, not saying anything. JR looks at SE but she is looking out the window trying to fight back tears. He starts the car and they go home. They get home and go straight upstairs to their room. SE comes in first and goes to run a bath. He lets her be alone for a few moments. He comes in.

JR: “Want some company?”

SE just smiles and says yes. He gets in and sits behind her. She lays back on his chest, her head in resting under his chin. He wraps his arms around her as the try to wash this day away.

CHAPTER 31

The next morning SE and JR are up early and they go to the hospital. They stop to get some breakfast and get Savanna some as well. They go into John Ross’ room and spy Savanna in a chair holding Jo Ro’s hand, just like JR did with SE. The smile at each other and SE wakes Savanna up. Jo Ro wakes as well. The doctor comes in and tells John Ross he will be in the hospital another week, and then must be on bed rest for at least another week after that and then must take it easy for another 3 weeks after.

Jo Ro: incredulously “Are you kidding me? That’s ridiculous. I feel fine.” JR starts to chuckle. “Dad, I don’t see what is so funny.”

JR: “Son, you are the spitting image of your mother when she was hurt. I’m sorry that’s funny.”

SE: “Excuse me? How are you any better?” JR just hugs SE and they all laugh.

SE: “Savanna, we have a car downstairs for you. We rented a suite at the hotel down the street, so you can go and get some rest. I don’t want to see you back here until this evening.”

S: “Yes mam.” Savanna kisses Jo Ro. “You heard your momma, I love you, and I’ll be back tonight.”

SE: “I’ll walk you out.” They leave and JR sits down and look sat Jo Ro.

JR: “Well, how you feelin’ today? And don’t lie since your momma ain’t around.”

Jo Ro: “I’m okay Dad. I’m real sore, but other that that I’m ok. I just keep thinking about what would have happened it had been Mom instead.” He looks at the ceiling and closes his eyes. A tear slips down his cheek. JR gets up and holds his son while Jo Ro cries.

JR whispers “It’s ok Son. I’m so proud of you Jo Ro. Do you know you are the only other person I trust to look after your momma?” Jo Ro smiles and JR sits down and they talk about business.

Meanwhile, SE walks Savanna down and makes sure she gets in the car all right. As she is walking back into the hospital, she spots a man looking out of his car window. His face is in a shadow and when he sees her, he starts the car and drives off. SE got an odd feeling that she knew him, but couldn’t quite place it. She shook it off and walked back inside the hospital.

SE and JR spend ½ the day with Jo Ro. They leave after Jo Ro finishes lunch and falls to sleep. JR takes SE’s hand as they leave the hospital.

JR: “Honey I have to run to the bank and sign some papers for work. How about you come with me, then we’ll spend the rest of the day together? We’ll get something to eat and then I have a surprise for you.”

SE: “OK.” They drive to the bank and they go in so JR can sign the papers. As they walk out, hand in hand, they run smack dab into Holly Harwood.

Holly: “hello SE…JR”

JR: “Holly….excuse us.”
Holly puts her hand on JR’s arm “Why don’t you give me a call later this week? I have an interesting business proposition you might be interested in.”

SE: irritated “I’m sure you do”, looking at JR, “When you’re done with yet another ex-mistress of yours, I’ll be in the car.”

JR: staring at her dumbfounded as she walks away. “Holly, I have no desire to do business with you. Next time you see me, just look the other way.”

H: “JR I’m sorry, I didn’t know she would react that way.”

JR: “Well why the hell wouldn’t she after what you did to her? I know ultimately it was my fault, but how could you do that to her”

H: “JR, I’m sor….”

JR: “Save it for someone who gives a damn”, as he walks toward the car.

JR gets in the car. SE is looking out the window and JR stares at her. “SE, what is…”

SE: “JR, just take me home, then you can do whatever you want to do.”

JR: getting a little angry “Fine.” He starts the car and starts the drive home, but changes his mind and swings back around toward town.

SE: “Where are you going?”

JR “I’m sticking with my original plan, and I’m giving you your surprise whether you like it or not.”

SE: hormones still kicking in “Whatever.”

JR drives them the condo and parks the car. “What are we doing here?”

JR: “SE I love you, but I swear if you don’t get out of the car and move your ass up to the condo…”

SE: “Fine”, getting out and slamming the car door.

JR: talking to himself, “Oh no she did not just slam my car door. Woman wait till I…oh she is so lucky I love her. Damn hormones of hers…She’s gonna kill me.” He gets out and follows her into the building. She is far ahead of him and he calls out to her to wait up. She doesn’t stop and gets on the elevator. Instead of holding the doors, she lets them close in JR’s face. He looks at the doors and busts out laughing as he waits for the next one. God, 3 more months…3 more months of this. Yep, she was going to be the death of him. God help him.

SE doesn’t wait for JR at the door either. She walks in and is stunned. The condo is bathed in soft lighting, a buffet style table is set up of all her favorites, and there is a massage table set up in the middle with a cut out so she can lay on her stomach, and massage oil warming next to it. SE starts to cry. JR comes in and sees her crying. “SE what’s wrong? Is it the baby?”

SE: trying to stop crying “I’m sorry…How can you love me? You did all this…and I yelled at you..and..”

JR takes SE in his arms “Sshhh, darlin’ it’s ok. Do you really think there is anything in this world you could do that would make me stop loving you?” he lifts her chin up with his finger. His heart breaks at the tears in her eyes.

SE: “No”

JR: “Honey, everything is going to be ok. We’ll get through this, I promise. And one thing you can always count on is my love for you. Nothing will ever make me leave you. Nothing.” He holds her and lets her cry.

JR: “Honey do you think I’d let another man put his hands on you? I made sure they gave you a woman.” There is a knock on the door and the masseuse comes in. JR tells SE he’ll be back in an hour and runs to pick up a gift he got SE.

When he gets back he turns the radio on. “Dance with me.”

The mysterious figure is in a car parked across the street with binoculars, looking up at the window of the Ewing condo.

CHAPTER 32

JR wakes up an hour later and gets dressed. He figures he’ll do some work while SE gets a nap in. He gets his briefcase and sits at the desk and notices the figure parked in the car. He gets on the phone quickly and calls his man on the police force. He gives the plate number and looks back out the window. The car is gone, but JR tells him to run it and get back to him. He turns to watch SE sleep and swears he will never let anyone hurt her or their children.

JR is working when he notices it’s about 4:30. He decides to wake up his wife so they can see Jo Ro and go home for dinner. He sits on the bed and looks at her. He puts his hand on her stomach and talks to Jaden. “Hey princess, it’s daddy. You are wearin’ your momma out with your kickin’. I’ll be glad when you get here because you’re causin’ your momma’s hormones to go haywire. Mommy and Daddy love you princess.” He puts his cheek on SE’s belly and the baby kicks. He just starts grinning like an idiot and kisses SE’s belly, waking her up.

SE: “What are you doing?”

JR: “Talking to our daughter. She’s awake now.”

SE: smiling “Yes I can tell. You ready to go see John Ross?”

JR: “Yep, go ahead and take your shower and we’ll go.”

JR and SE go to the hospital and into Jo Ro’s room. Ty & TJ are in there visiting with him. “Hey Mom, you look beautiful.”

SE: laughing “Quite the charmer for a 16 year old” leaning down and kissing his cheek.

Jo Ro: “I get it from Dad” smiling.

SE: laughing “Hello TJ”, hugging him. “Ty” giving him a hug as well.

Ty: “Hi SE. You know Jo Ro is right, you are glowing. You husband must be taking good care of you.”

SE: smiling at JR “Oh he is.”

Ty: “Well, we’ll get out of the way. Jo Ro, thanks for talking with us. You take care of yourself and I’ll see you soon.”

Jo Ro: “Thanks for the books Grandpa, I’ll need something to occupy my time.” SE and JR looks at each other with Jo Ro calling Ty grandpa. JR raises his eyebrows. SE does the same.

TJ: “Jo Ro, you take care bud. I’ll bring you some of those puzzles we talked about.”

Jo Ro: “Ok Uncle T. Later.” Again SE and JR raise their eyebrows.

TJ and Ty both shake JR’s hand and they leave.

SE: “Well seems like we missed the party.”

Jo Ro: “Mom they’re great. Grandpa explained everything and answered all my questions. Do you mind that I want to spend time with them?” He reminded SE of when he was a little boy.

SE: “No, of course not.”

Jo Ro: “Do you Dad?” SE gave JR a look that said you better say you don’t mind.
JR: “No Jo Ro, they’re your family too.”

Jo Ro: relieved, “Thanks. Savanna should be here soon. I can’t wait to get out of here.” Clayton and Ms Ellie come in. “Hey Grandma, hey Granddad.” He smells the dinner they brought him. “All right home cookin’” And he digs in to dinner.

JR: “Well at least he hasn’t lost his appetite. You bout ready honey?” Kissing Jo Ro on his head.

SE: “Yes, I’m ready.” Kissing Jo Ro and hugging him “I love you sweetheart.”

Jo Ro: “Love you too Mom. You too Dad.”

JR: “I love you Son.” He takes SE’s hand and they leave.

They get home and go upstairs. JR takes a shower and SE goes out on the balcony to enjoy the air. JR comes up behind her with just a towel on. He puts his arms around her and cuddles up to her. He kisses her neck and she smiles. SE turns around and starts kissing him passionately. “How in the world can you still want to make love to me when I’m as big as a house.”

JR pulls back. “Are you kidding?”

SE: “No, look at me. I can’t fit into any of my clothes anymore.”

JR: “SE, first of all you are not as big as a house. You look like you swallowed a little duck pin bowling bowl. Second, I wouldn’t care if you looked like you had swallowed a beach ball. SE you are so damn sexy, you drive me crazy. Every time I see you all I want to do is take you in my arms and show you how much I love you. I wish you could see yourself the way I do. Jesus woman, even Jo Ro’s friends think you’re hot, even at 5 months pregnant. You should have heard them last week out by the pool. Lucky for them they’re only 16, otherwise I’d have beaten them black and blue.”

SE: laughs and kisses him “Well then the way I see it we only have two more months before we have to stop making love for at least a month, maybe more if Jaden is as stubborn as her Daddy and wants to wait to make an appearance. I figure we better get in all the lovin’ we can, sooo,” SE takes his towel off and throws it over the balcony, “get to lovin’ on me.”

JR smiles “Yes mam.” He picks her up and carries her to the bed and lays her down. He kisses her all over, causing her in sigh with pleasure.

In a condo in Dallas, we see pictures on SE and Jo Ro in frames. The mystery man is taking a shower. You see the back of him until he looks in the mirror. It’s ……Nicholas Pearce.

CHAPTER 33 About a week later.

Sunlight streams into SE & JR’s room. SE pounces on JR. “Wake up big boy, let’s go get our son and bring him home.”

JR wakes up and smiles at his wife and then pins her underneath him. “What are you doing up before me? I almost always wake up before you.”

SE kisses him, “You must be getting old, I guess you need your sleep.”

JR: laughing “Honey if I need extra sleep it’s because my beautiful wife wears me out.”

SE “Are you complaining Ewing?”

JR: kissing her neck, “Hell no.”

SE: “Good thing.” Getting up “Come on sweetheart; let’s go bring our son home.”

JR: “Oh sugar.” They take a shower together and ride to the hospital.

At the hospital….

JR & SE go into Jo Ro room. He is already dressed and waiting for them with Savanna.

Jo Ro: “Well, it’s about time. I’m ready to go home.”

SE: smiling “Well then let’s go.” JR goes to get the car and Savanna and SE wheel Jo Ro downstairs. As they exit the elevator, SE spots Nick but still can’t see his face, only his back. She gets caught up thinking it look like him.

JR breaks her trance “Honey, you ok?”

SE: “Yes. I thought I saw someone I used to know. Let’s go home Mr. Ewing. Maybe after we get our son situated, you’ll get lucky.” He kisses her and smiles. “Sugar, I’m lucky everyday. I wake up nest to you.”

Jo Ro: calling from the car “Come on you two, can’t you wait till you get your only son home from the hospital.” He and Savanna start laughing. JR & SE walk to the car. Nick watches from the lobby.

The family is gathered to welcome Jo Ro home, including Ty & TJ, who have been helping out a lot since Jo Ro got hurt. They have a nice lunch a Savanna helps Jo Ro upstairs. SE takes a walk with Ty.

SE: “Thank you for your help these past few weeks. You’ve been great to John Ross and a big help to me by doing that.”

Ty: “SE, you’re my daughter. I love you and I am grateful for the chance you’ve given me to get to know John Ross.”

SE: “So when are you going back to California?”

Ty: “I’m not. I but people in charge of the business so I can be near you and your family.”

SE a little overwhelmed, “Wow. What if I decided I didn’t want to have anything to do with you?”

Ty: “Didn’t matter. I still would have stayed. I’m not giving up on you. You are my daughter. I’d be grateful for a chance to be your father.”

SE stops and looks at him “I think I’d like that a lot,…..Daddy.”

Tears fall from Ty’s eyes as SE hugs him and tells him she loves him. “Oh, I love you too SE. Thank you so much.”

SE: a little teary as well, “Thank you for finding me and not giving up when my husband got over protective.”

Ty: “Well, truth be told you’re husband is a little scary. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a man so in love with a woman. When you were in the hospital that first night, …I can’t even describe it. I’m glad you have him.”

SE: smiles “So am I.” JR comes up and tells SE Jo Ro is settled in. Savanna is going to spend the week in the guest room. “Ok. Daddy and TJ have decided to stay in Dallas. Maybe you can help them find a place kind of close by.”

JR raises his eyebrows, but SE just gives him a look “How about the guest house? That way they can take their time looking for a place without having to spend their time in a hotel. Plus they’ll be close by, especially with the baby coming soon.”

SE: smiles and throws her arms around her husband. “I love you.”

JR: squeezing her tight “I love you too honey. So Ty,” putting his hand out to shake Ty’s hand “welcome to the family.”

Ty: shaking his hand “Thanks JR that means a lot coming from you.”

JR: “Say Ty I’m sorry about when we first met. I was just protectin’ my wife.”

Ty: “JR, no apology necessary. I’m glad SE has you. I know she is in good hands.” The party breaks up and the family goes their separate ways until dinner. SE takes Ty & TJ to the guest house to show them around. They leave as Nick watches from the trees.

CHAPTER 33B

SE drives back to the house and goes to check on Jo Ro.

SE: “Hey”

Jo Ro: “Hi Mom.”

SE: “Did your father tell you that your grandfather and uncle will be staying in the guest house?”

Jo Ro: “Yeah. I think it’s great. I can’t believe Dad said yes though. You must have him wrapped around your little finger”, laughing. JR is standing by the door.

SE: “Oh, no one has JR Ewing wrapped around their finger.” JR comes up behind her and kisses her.

JR: “His wife does.”

SE: smiling “Really? Well I may have to test that theory later. Jo Ro do you need anything?”

Jo Ro: “No Mom, I’m fine. I might actually take a nap.”

SE: “Ok. I’ll check on you at dinner. I love you.” “Love you too Mom”

JR: “I think maybe you should take a nap too.”

SE: “You might be right. I am a little worm out.”

JR: “Come on, I’ll lay down with you.”

SE and JR lie down and cuddle up.

SE: “Thank you for allowing my father and brother to stay. I love you more than I’ll ever be able to tell you or show you. I know it wasn’t easy for you to apologize to him either. You amaze me with the things you do because you love me.”

JR: “That’s just it honey. I would do anything and everything to put that smile on your face. I know how much you wanted a father, now you have one. As long as you’re happy, everything is worth it. I love you.”

SE: “Remind to thank you properly after dinner.”

JR: “Oh I will.”

SE snuggles into him and they drift off to sleep. Ty & TJ get moved in before dinner.

SE wakes up an hour before dinner. JR is still sleeping. She places light kisses all over his face. He acts like he doesn’t feel them. She starts to get up and grabs her and pulls her back down.

JR “Where do you think you’re going?”

SE: “I was going to take a shower before dinner. But now that you’re awake, maybe I can give you a proper thank you.” She rolls on top of him and slides down his body. He lays back and smiles. SE undoes his pants and slides them off. Before she takes him in her mouth she whispers “Thank you sweetheart,” and proceeds to blow his mind with her skills.

JR grips the bed sheet and moans out load with pleasure. “SE…jesus honey…you are so incredible.”

SE continues her steady movements. JR: “Honey I need to be inside of you, please.” She moves up his body and kisses him. He lifts her skirt out of the way and starts to rip her panties. “Don’t you dare. Take them off right, because if you rip them, you won’t get any for a month.”

JR rubs his fingers on the outside of her panties. He slips a finger inside of them and her. She gasps. “A whole month?”

SE: moving against his hand, “Maybe a week.”

JR keeps his hand still. SE is squirming. “Oh alright, but you’re buying me a dozen new pair.” JR rips them off and throws them across the room.

“Honey, I’ll buy you a million pair.” As he grabs her hers and pushes up into her.

SE cries out in ecstasy. “God, you’re amazing. You feel so good. I love you.”

JR: smiling “I love you too.” He continues to drive into her and she leans down and kisses him. He puts his arms around her waist for better leverage.

SE: “OH GOD!!!” He continues to thrust into her and pushes them both over the edge. “SE stretches out on top of him. “You are the most amazing lover.”

JR: “Sugar, I don’t compare to you. You are wonderful.”

SE: “Guess we should get ready for dinner.” They get ready and come downstairs. Cliff is standing in the living room.

JR: “Jesus you’re not staying for dinner are ya? Cause if you are we’re goin’ out.” SE gives him a look.

Cliff: laughing sarcastically “JR nothing would give me more pleasure than to give you heartburn, but I’m just here to get Christopher. I’m taking him out to a football game.”

JR: “Football? Somebody give you free tickets? I know you’re to cheap to buy them yourself.” Laughing.

SE: “JR…”

JR: smiling, “Honey I’m just kidding.” He puts his arms around her waist and looks at her pouting. She kisses him, “I hate when you do that, because you know I can’t resist it.” “I know sugar, I know.”

Cliff: “Oh god, I’m gonna be sick.”

SE: “Cliff…” Just then Christopher comes in. “You ready Uncle Cliff?”

C: “Yes, let’s get outta here. Bye” They leave and JR and SE looks at each other and laugh. They are sitting on the couch kissing when the rest of the family comes in.

Bobby; “Jesus JR people are gonna think you’re super glued to SE’s lips. Every time someone sees you, you’re giving her mouth to mouth.” Everyone laughs and starts to walk into dinner. The phone rings and SE answers it as the rest of the family walks into the dining room.

SE: “Ewing residence.” There is only silence on the other end. “Hello.” She can hear someone breathing. She starts to hang up when she hears her name being whispered. She stops cold whispers into the phone “Nick?” JR comes in. “Honey you coming? Who’s on the phone?”

SE hears a dial tone and comes out of her daze. “No one…wrong number I guess.” And hangs up the phone. The family enjoys dinner but SE’s mind is on the phone call.

JR & SE retire upstairs for the evening after checking on Jo Ro. They crawl into bed and JR wraps his arms around SE. “Are you ok? You were quiet at dinner.”

SE: holding onto JR “Yeah, just tired. I love you.”

JR: “I love you too, honey.”

They drift off with SE’s dreams filled with Nicholas Pearce.


Ok, I’m changing history a little. I was furious when SE shot JR after Nick went over the balcony. She would have never done that. So I’m gonna say Nick was supposedly killed in car accident. SE saw the car blow up and JR actually helped her through his death. So when she left for London her and JR were friendly. Oh and no JR didn’t marry Cally, so Jo Ro is his only child. Also no Vanessa. Thise storylines were bullshit.

CHAPTER 34

JR and SE take separate cars and go to work the next morning. SE tries to concentrate on work but can’t. She opens her bottom drawer and takes out a picture of her and Nick. She decides to visit Nick’s grave. She tells Carly where she’s going and tells her that if JR asks just tell him she'll be back.

She goes to the cemetery.

She kneels in front of Nick’s grave and puts flowers in the vase.

SE: “Hello Nick. It’s been quite a while since I came to visit. I’m sorry about that.” Nick is behind the tree listening to SE. “I’m a doctor now. A psychiatrist, can you believe it? I went back to school while in London and got my degree. So now I’m Dr. Ewing. JR and I are married again. I know you’re probably cringing, but he has changed Nick. He isn’t the same man I knew. He's everything I ever wanted himt o be and more. I love him, Nick. I hope you can be happy for me. John Ross is 16 now. He’s taller than I am, and so protective of me. He’s the best of me and JR. I’m also going to have another baby. A little girl. We’ve decided to name her Jaden. I can’t wait until she arrives……… I miss you Nick. I don’t regret anything that has happened in my life and who knows if we would have stayed together, but I feel like we never had a chance. I was devastated when I lost you. JR was actually my rock and he helped me get through it. Crazy huh? I really wish you were still here…..I love you Nick, a part of me will always love you. She stands up. It starts to rain. "But JR is my husband and he makes me happy. I won't be back after today Nick. I have to let you go. Be happy for me."

Nick comes out from behind the tree. “Hello SE.”

SE spins around and her hand flies to her mouth as she gasps. “Nick”, she whispers. He takes a step towards her and she throws her arms around him crying “You’re alive….How…..What hap….”
Nick holds her tight “SSShhh, I’ll tell you everything just let me hold you for a minute.” They are both getting soaked to the skin, but neither care.

Went through the attic today,

CHAPTER 35

SE’s cell phone rings breaking her out of her trance. She pulls away from Nick and answers it “Hello”

JR is on the other end “Darlin, where are you? I thought we were meeting for lunch.”

SE: “I forgot. I’m sorry. Are you still at the office?”

JR: “Yes.”

SE: “I’m on my way.”

JR: “Alright. I love you.”

SE: smiles “I love you too.” She hangs up. “I have to go.”

N: “Wait. That’s it? After 5 years that’s it?”

SE: yelling at him as she walks to her car “What the hell do you want me to say Nick? I’m married to JR. What do you suggest? I ask for a divorce and we get married?”

N: flashing his dimples “That would work.”

SE: “Goodbye Nicholas.”

N: “This isn’t over.”

SE drives back to the office.

She walks into JR’s office and she is soaking wet. JR jumps up “What the hell happened to you?” SE starts to cry. She grabs onto JR and he holds her. “Honey, please…you’re scaring me.”

JR gets up to lock the door, and tell Sly to hold all his calls. He sits back down in front of SE. He is a quiet for a moment, waiting for her to talk. He takes his jacket off and puts it around her.

JR: whispering “Honey, please. Look at me.” SE looks into his eyes. He puts his hand on her face. “SE, what happened?”

SE: “He’s alive. I asked him where he’s been…he said that he was thrown from the car and was in a coma for 3 years. After that he needed to take care of the people were that were after him. The accident was a mob hit.”

JR is strangely quiet. He starts pacing. SE hasn’t stopped shivering since she came in.

SE: “I don’t know." She stands up “JR, I love you.” She reaches out to him. He walks over to her and she throws himself into his arms. She kisses him and he forgets everything for just a moment. In her kiss, he is secure in their love.

JR: “Show me.” JR lays her down on the couch and makes love to her. JR knows that when they are together like this nothing can come between them. SE whispers how much she loves JR the whole time he is making to her.

CHAPTER 35B

JR takes SE home and they go straight upstairs. He runs a hot bath for her and undresses SE to get her out of her cold wet clothes. She gets in the tub. “Aren’t you going to join me?”

JR: smiling at her “I will in a minute. I’m going to go down and get you something to eat and something warm to drink. I’ll be right back.” He kisses her and goes downstairs. SE leans back and lets her thoughts and feelings wash over her. JR goes down stairs and immediately gets on the phone with his private investigator. He tells him he wants Nick Pearce followed and under full surveillance. He also says he wants full reports on where he’s been the last 7 years. JR hangs up and gets SE some soup. He brings it up to her and she drinks it while he gets undressed. He gets into the tub behind her and wraps his arms around her.

SE and JR climb into bed. JR wraps his arms around his wife as SE falls asleep. JR whispers, “I swear I’ll kill him before I let him take you from me SE.” With that he falls into a restless sleep.

CHAPTER 36 – About a week later. By now it is middle of November (SE is about 8 months pregnant now. She is still small.)

Nick calls SE at her office.

N: “Will you meet me at my old house?”

SE: “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

N: “How about the park then? Please?

SE: “I’ll meet you there in 20 minutes.” SE hangs up. She tells Carly she’ll be back in an hour.

Nick is waiting for her in the park. SE sees him from a distance and slowly walks up to him, trying to get her nerves under control. How can I love JR so much, yet still have feelings for Nick?

Nick smiles when he sees SE walking towards him. He reaches for her and hugs her, she hugs him back.

Nick: “You look wonderful.”

SE: pulling out of his hug and sitting down “Thank you. You do as well.”

Nick: sitting as well “So when is the baby due?”

SE: “In about a month” Jaden chooses that moment to kick. SE rubs her belly “I swear this kid is gonna be on the soccer team.”

N: “May I feel?”

SE: “Sure” She takes his hand and puts it where Jaden is kicking.

The investigator is busy snapping pictures of them.

N: “That is amazing. I wish she was ours.”

SE: pulling away “Nicholas…”

This Romeo is bleeding

N: “I’m sorry. I feel cheated. We would have gotten married and probably had 2 kids by now. We’d be a family.”

SE: “You don’t know that. Anyway it doesn’t matter. I’m in love with my husband Nick. I will always care about you, but we can’t be together.”

N: whispering and touching SE’s face. “I still love you. Doesn’t that mean anything?”

SE: reaches up to touch his hand, “Nick….”

SE: looks at him with her teary eyes “A part of me will always love you, but I’m not in love with you.”

Nick brings his lips to SE’s and touches them lightly at first. Old sparks ignite the fire that burned between them and SE kisses Nick back but pulls away just as suddenly.

SE: “Nick I won’t meet with you again. I’m sorry. You’re hurting me every time we do this. Please let me be happy with JR. If you love me like you say you do…let me go.” And with that SE walks away.

Nick stares after her with tears in his eyes.

CHAPTER 36B A few days later in the evening.

JR’s investigator delivers the pictures he snapped of Nick. JR goes through them and comes across the ones in the park. He is devastated. He gets up and grabs his bourbon and a glass. He starts drinking, drowning his pain.

But now I'm relaxed - I can't be sure

JR empties his second glass and throws it across the room.

JR stares at the picture of Nick kissing SE. Now he is starting to get angry.

I can't relate and that's a problem I'm feeling

JR takes the limo home. He stares at the pictures on the ride home, alternating between tears and anger.

JR gets homes and goes straight upstairs.

SE comes out of the bathroom “Where have you been? I was worried. I tried to call the office but I didn’t get an answer.”

JR doesn’t answer her.

SE touches his shoulder “Hey, what’s going on?”

JR: “Nothing how was your day? I missed you at lunch.”

SE: sitting on the bed, “I had an appointment and then it was pretty much catching up on files all day.”

JR: “So tell me Mrs. Ewing, when did you become a liar?”

SE: “Excuse me?”

JR throws the pictures at her. She looks at them and she is quiet. “Nothin’ to say honey?”

SE: angry “Are you having me followed?”

JR: “NO. I was having him followed. Imagine my surprise when my wife turns up, kissing her ex-lover on a god damned park bench. Oh and how about this one?” He shows her the one of Nick feeling the baby kick. “Touching isn’t it?”

SE: “Look I can explain.”

JR: “I’m sure you can. So let’s here it.” He sits down in the chair.

SE: “He called and asked me to meet him at his house. I said no and then he asked if I would meet him at the park. I did.”

JR: “Obviously”

SE: “We sat down and the baby kicked and he asked if he could feel her. I took his hand and she kicked for him. He said he wished it was his baby. He said he felt cheated, that we should have been married.” SE kneels in front of JR crying. “I told him I was in love with my husband. I told him I would always care about him, but I would never leave you for him.”

JR: “And how exactly did his lips get stuck on yours?”

SE: “He told me to tell I felt nothing for him….”

JR: “And you couldn’t do that?”

SE: “JR you were there when I thought he died. I did love him. So no I couldn’t tell him I felt nothing for him. He kissed me and I pulled away. I told him if he really loved me he would leave me alone and let me be happy with you. I also told him I wouldn’t meet with him again. JR…” she touches his knee.

He pulls away and stands up “Please don’t touch me right now. I never thought this would happen to us. Why did you go to meet him? WHY???”

SE flinches when he raises his voice. She turns around to look at him. His heart breaks when he looks in her eyes but he is still angry. “You let him touch you. You let him touch our baby. You let him touch what you swore was mine. Did you sleep with him?”

SE: “I would never do that to you. I did not sleep with him.” She starts to rub her belly.

JR: “God SE, in that one second when I saw those pictures my whole world shattered. When I came home and asked you what you did today, you lied.”

SE: “JR I’m sorry…..”

JR: “YOU LIED”

SE flinches again and grabs her stomach “Oh God..JR”

JR: suddenly coming to his senses “Baby…are you ok?”

SE: “Oh god it hurts…please JR”

JR scoops her up and rushes her to the hospital. The doctors rush to tend to her. JR sits in the waiting room.
